I am lost

This atmosphere doesn’t experience love

That is found in heaven above

With you not around

I have an open wound

 

I am lost

You realize the positives

I notice the negatives

The world is not the same

I have forgotten your name

 

I am lost

You brought happiness

When there was sadness

You brought those from darkness to light

When the darkness captured your might

 

I am lost

Cancer shouldn’t have consumed you

Cancer had no clue

You were an Angel

Loving and precisely gentle

 

I am lost

Life is drastically going down

As I continue to frown

I know it’s the past

I can’t bear to last

 

I am lost

All the comforting memories in my head

Realizing you’re now dead

I’ll meet you again

A better place than we began

 

I am lost

Life proceeds on

As I fall upon

The reminders that you’re gone

I will now live alone

I am lost.
