Some Advice About Making a Website

Now that I’m finished with my website about Fortnite (Links to an external site.), I wanted to write a little advice for future Multimedia Application students, or for anyone who is thinking about making a website.

When you make a website a main ideas of advice are….

1. Make sure you understand the difference of what information should be post and what information should be pages. I spent a lot of time switching posts to pages or pages to posts because I didn’t totally understand it. You’ll spend a lot more time putting information on your pages/posts rather then switching them from posts to pages or pages to posts.

2. Use class time wisely! Never ever waste a class period because it could bite you in the butt in the future. You never know what event will come up that will prevent you from working on your website. At times you’re like “Oh I can work on the website at home.” That’s not always the case because Photoshop might need to be used for your website.

3. Don’t do all your pictures at the last minute. Mix it in while you’re doing your project. If you say you’re gonna do all your pictures at the end and your information in the beginning. You’re gonna get bored of doing the same thing over and over and over again. My advice to you is to switch up what you’re doing so you don’t get bored of what you’re doing.
