Hotel Rwanda was a very touching movie that showed emotion of what truly happened. Personally as an American, I had no idea that this ever happened in Rwanda. As American’s we get so caught up into our lives and we don’t care what happens in other countries. These things that happen in other countries don’t affect us so it doesn’t matter in the normal American eye. I would for sure watch this movie again if I had the chance. I feel like it’s a very powerful message to show to all Americans to show that we shouldn’t take this freedom in our country for granted.

Like I said before, our mind is so caught up in our own lives, trying to figure out what we could do to make our life better. As if it’s not good enough for us, when there are people in our world that would kill for a life like ours. It’s really sad to think about how selfish our world is and how we couldn’t careless about what happens to others in this world. What other people sometimes do is, they’ve lived the “American Dream” and they’re done. They sit back and just watch the world rot instead of maybe doing something about world poverty or world violence.

In conclusion I think this movie was outstanding and I really enjoyed it. I had no idea that this event ever happened until Mrs. Jank explained to the class the scenario. We live in a cruel world and always wonder, why is our world so deadly? It’s the fact that we are sinners and our sudden instinct is to get “revenge” to make ourselves feel better. This can be with so many scenarios. This movie is a 10/10 I’d say and totally recommend it to anyone that’s interested in history.
